Interactive Dance Performance
Year of Production: 2018

Spiritus Lwa is a transdisciplinary art project that explores the influence of the digital on the performing and performing arts.
The project experiments with electronically generated multidimensional images and sounds. These interact with real spaces and people who refer to them performatively. Tonal, visual and semantic sequences, superimpositions, reflections and interferences are the subject of interest.
It is also about the potential of staging parallel nonlinear narrative structures and about the possibilities of interweaving scenographies - i.e. their coupling over large distances.
The impetus for the Spiritus Lwa project was the sound and augmented reality installation of Spiritus Huber on the museum ship Oskar Huber (as part of the 27th Duisburg Akzente).
The conceptual and media artist Wolfram Lakaszus, the university lecturer for media informatics Ido Iurgel, the theatre and performance artist Adriana Kocijan and the musician and radio play producer Wolfgang van Ackeren are the core of the project team, which is supported in practice by other artists, but also by students of digital media and media and communication informatics.
The ensemble always referred to the location of its hosts. Wherever possible, colleagues on site were involved in the production and, in some cases, in the performance
